Saddleback Church Temecula Extension at Newton Avocado Manor

Our family has been members of Saddleback Church for over 33 years. We moved to De Luz several years ago from Orange County and made the drive to Main Campus in Lake Forest for a couple of years. God has put it on our hearts to open up our farm for our church and those wanting to connect in the Temecula/Murrieta/Wildomar area. On the first Sunday of every month we watch church together on the farm and have a great time of fellowship with some coffee, tea and snacks. We meet here the first Sunday of every month at noon. Anyone is welcome. We have Small group on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays in Bear Creek. We meet at 5:30 pm. Email or call if you'd like to come.

  • The Rose Gardens

We feature 3 distinguished Rose gardens. The Upper Formal garden is gorgeous with Heirloom varieties and showcases two amazing pieces of Art. View an incredible Bronze stature by artist Victor Salmones and a Porcelin Medallion made by a local artist. The medallion is made from broken English china all pieces were part of the Manor's porcelian collection. The Lower Rose garden features Wedding and David Austin varieties along with some one of a kind roses no longer bred. Our newest garden, the English garden, is a more tradional garden with climbing, Hybrid, Tea and Heirloom roses along with a variety of plants and flowers including Lavender, Lilacs, Eucalyptus, Cosmos, Bells of Ireland, Ranunculus, Wisteria, Forget Me Nots, many different varieties of Poppies, & so much more.

     With over 1000 Rose bushes

The Roses are everywhere. As you are exploring you will find one of our favorite spots, our Pope John Paul Roses, located in the planter boxes at the front of the Manor. These are pure white and smell of Citrus. Distant Drums as you enter the gate along with some Life of the Party and Gypsy Soul. Each rose bush was selected and placed in its location based on color and fragrance. We have tried to feauture the full spectrum of varieties both new and old.

Our farm is located in De Luz overlooking the hills of Temecula and Fallbrook.. We are 12 miles east of the Pacific Ocean with an elevation of 2000 ft. situated on the Sant Rosa Plateau. Often people think of Temecula as Wine Country, but did you know they also have Avocado Farms? Temecula's Grapes need heat while Avocados need a cooler climate. Temperatures here are quite different from the Wineries. Check it out.
